Africa Safari Karatu is a luxury safari lodge located on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The area became popular with early settlers and farmers because of its cool climate, green hills, and beautiful views, with coffee being one of the most important crops. The rolling slopes of the extinct Ol Deani volcano are a striking feature of the landscape. The accommodation is located on top of a hill and offers a stunning view of the Northern Highlands, Lake Eyasi, and its surroundings.

Amazing place to stay
Can’t rate this place highly enough! The location is amazing, the place is clean and comfortable, but the best part is the staff! I had actually written down their names but lost the bit of paper. The manager was so lovely, as were all the restaurant staff. Biggest compliments go to the receptionist, I think her name was Diane? Could be wrong but she was amazing, especially with my young kids. We were there in September when it was mostly adults so I was a little worried. I didn’t need to be. All of the staff were so accommodating and lovely to them. They let them swim late at night and really took care of them. I would visit again, and will be recommending them to all my friends.

Nice staying in the middle of our Safari!
We stayed 2 night at Africa Safari Karatu and everything was really good! Rooms are nice, in particular in the last, new building. Breakfast and dinner (buffet) are delicious with local food. The view from the hotel is amazing, with the hills around Karatu in front of us. The hotel is very big and they are building a new and bigger swimming pool and restaurant. If you have to go to Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Parks, the position is highly recommended!

A Pleasant Welcoming and Beautiful Services
We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and tested 2 room types, comfort and luxury. We preferred the Mood and finishes of the comfort rooms which are certainly less spacious. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. This is a nice service to recommend.
